Ett tillägg: jag överväger på riktigt att ni kanske har hittat på den här personen för att provocera fram kommentarer. En "provosona", liksom.
En ganska märklig känsla, faktiskt.

Re: syncing of calendar and contacts, I'm not sure I understand what you mean. It is simple to setup synchronization with standard applications (such as Apple/Windows Address Book, Outlook, iCal etc.) via iTunes. This is not something you manage from the iPhone itself (thank God).
As for web-based calendars and address books, there are ways to do it as well. See for instance:
http://www.switched.com/2007/07/05/sync-your-iphone-with-google-calendar/
All in all, I wonder whether you are comparing the iPhone to other mobile phones or to desktop computers. I would be very interested to see examples of other mobile devices where things like sync is so simple to use as in the iPhone. (Except from the newly presented T-Mobile G1, of course, but I don't think it does Yahoo calendar syncing... ;-))

Tomas, thanks for the tip. However your description only saves the individual locations but not actucally the "map or path" itself. What I want it that a searched path is saved for later usage, so that when I do not have connectivity that I still can find my way and directions.

"Maps - saving functionality, how come I cannot bookmark, save locations, maps, directions and access it at a later point. For example, I type in own address and want to use it to calculate distances to other location (via car, bicyle, walking, public transportation, etc)?"
You actually can. After you have found the place or the address you're looking for, click the circled arrow that takes you to the Info view. One of the buttons is Bookmark. This bookmark will then be available from the book icon that appears when the search field is empty.
