And I completely sympathise with your dilemma. For example, when a Skype update took place a couple of years back, our DECT/Skype cordless phones stopped working. We had to revert to the original (outdated) Skype system. And here's a semi-related story: if you are a Nokia user, the awful "software update" function in their PC Suite does not "update." Rather, it reformats the entire phone, which means everything from contacts to plug-ins need to be reinstalled from scratch - and interesting twist on onceability. Interesting concept. Findability, accessibility etc. are all useful and helpful to me. Onceability would be the opposite, so I suggest using the exact contrary, like "durability" - if it's durable it doesn't rot.
